WHY, WHERE, WHAT

Welcome to my mission on the island of Roatan, Honduras, where I am dedicated to empowering individuals through employable life skills training. While this beautiful island is known for its stunning beaches and vibrant diving culture, I recognize the pressing need to uplift those living in poverty. My goal is not only to provide practical skills such as sewing classes but also to guide individuals towards a deeper relationship with Christ, fostering hope and transformation in their lives. Join me in making a difference in this unique community of Mud Hole, Roatan Honduras.

TERESA MORALES

I have a BA Elementary Education from the university of Iowa and a MS in Science Education from Iowa State University. I was a teacher for over 20 years but have retired and changed my profession to missionary. I love to travel and experience new cultures and interact with people. I love to sew and started a small purse making business which I have brought to Roatan, Honduras. I have 3 grown boys and 2 wonderful daughter-in laws. I have 3 grandchildren and they are my precious peeps.

MARIA CRUZ

Marie is 27 years old mother of a 3 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. She is a student and the translator for the sewing class. She works with visiting mission teams in translating, cooking and helping them with things they need. She has worked as a waitress previously. Her goal is to be a business owner and would like to go back to college. She also wants to develop her sewing skills and make quality products. Marie lives by the phrase "The more you learn the more you know." and she believes God has her right where He wants her so she can serve others.

YADIRA CORDOVA

Yadira is 27 years old. Today she feels blessed for this program which helps support her family. She is married and has 2 children. Her goals include being an entrepreneur, building her own house, and having a sewing workshop here on the island. She also wants to learn English and she wishes to say thank you for all the support given, by purchasing items and she sends many blessings to everyone.

Navigator Bags is my small purse company that I started in 2020 as a hobby business. After retiring from teaching God led me to Roatan, Honduras to teach people of the island life skills such as sewing so they can gain the potential to earn sustainable income through sewing, clothing construction and alterations, handicrafts, or constructing cushions for lawn furniture. The products on this page were created by myself to support myself as I do the Sew Blessed Ministry work.
